"Even Hope Can Fall"

Sigh,

So it's been a while since I've posted on here. But I have a good excuse! I've finally launched CROWSWOLF PRESS and have actually had some submissions, which is always a good thing.

Check out Crowswolf Press at

http://crowswolf.tripod.com/crowswolfpress/

I've included new info on the publications, updated the site to include excerpts and even launched a magazine!

That's right, Crowswolf Press has launched it's first mag!!! It's called MUSINGS: A Magazine of Words. It's purpose is to link together the finest in fiction, non-fiction, poetry and prose. Check out the site link above to learn more.

I've also started my new serial novel, HUNTED!!!! It took a while to get going on this one, but I think I figured the plot lines out. Hunted is like giving Hope Falls a major face lift, so I'm hoping everyone likes the changes.

To celebrate the start of HUNTED, I've created a site for HOPE FALLS, where all the Hope Falls Novels are available. You can even email Howard Kowalski, check out a map of Hope Falls Town Proper and click to read the novels. More updates to come, check it out at:

http://hope-fall.tripod.com/

So as you can see, there's been lots going on. I'm going to try to update here more regularly, now that I'm getting back into writing on more than a weekly basis. :)

Cheers for now,

Jamieson

Books I Have Read
Mood:  lyrical
Now Playing: Halcyon Days by Bruce Hornsby

Someone asked me the other day for some good book suggestions. It ended up being a loooong list.

I figured I'd put a list here of the books I have read in the past few weeks. Hopefully, if you read one of the books in the following list, you'll like them as much as I did:

BROKEN by Kelley Armstrong

QUEEN OF BABBLE by Meg Cabot

JPOD by Douglas Coupland

FIRE ME UP by Katie McAllister

KEY OF KNOWLEDGE by Nora Roberts

SECRETS OF THE CODE Edited by Dan Burstien

ADVERBS by Daniel Handler

MAXIMUM RIDE by James Patterson

TEUSDAYS WITH MORRIE by Mitch Albom

LIKE WATER FOR CHOCOLATE by Laura Esquivel

MALINCHE by Laura Esquivel

A GIRLS GUIDE TO VAMPIRES by Katie McAllister

DREAMS MADE FLESH by Anne Bishop

All the books in this list are fabulous and I reccomend all of them. They're all great reads, and there's something here for everyone!

Cheers,

Jamieson

What I'm Working On
Mood:  caffeinated
Now Playing: Boards of Canada Mix
I don't know if it's a usual thing, but as a writer, I am always working on lots of stories at the same time. Right now, I'm working on:

* A sequel to my dark childrens novel titled THE SILVER GLASS

* The third book in my Hope Falls Trilogy entitled DRAGONS COVE (it's Allllmost finished!)

* A new childrens' novel entitled CLEOPATRA AND THE CATS

* A fantasy/romance novel entitled CROWS BLOOD

* Editing a book of short stories I've put together called GARDEN CITY

* A new novel, told in journal entries, pictures, patient assesments and emails, called DEEP THOUGHTS

* An idea for another novel set in a bookstore. It's in the brainstorming stage, but I'm thinking of calling it PAGES or INK

* Wondering if I should start the third book in my urban fantasy series Electric entitled ELECTRIC RED. It's been a while and I'm wondering if I should continue with this series...

* Working on my own online publication site ISIS PUBLICATIONS.

I can't seem to focus on one thing for too long. All of the items mentioned above are in different stages of completion.

I wonder if other authors are the same way. Do some start and then finish a book before they move on to the next idea? Or do other authors have multiple things going at once, scribbling down thoughts as they occur to them?

Either way, there's always something to keep my interest.

What do all of you think? Email me if you'd like at jamiesonwolf @ gmail.com and let me know!

Cheers,

Jamieson

All Good Things Have a Beginning
Mood:  happy
Now Playing: Confessions on a Dance Floor
I have never been much for blogging or for journaling. I have tried the LiveJournal experience, but found that entering my thoughts every day, or once in a while, was a little tiring and I have never been able to keep up with it.

But all good things must have a beginning, so I am going to start a blog here. What will I post? Daily observations, comments on the world around me, information on good books I am reading. So, in short, this will be a catch all place for my words that have no place in my stories or novels.

Thanks for reading the first post and starting this journey with me.

More to come!
